Monique obtained her J.D. from Barry University School of Law in Orlando, FL and is licensed to practice law and is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Prior to obtaining a Juris Doctorate, Monique’s other academic accolades includes a Master’s in Health Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Business Management from Georgia State University, and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration.

Monique is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Georgia with over 14 years of experience. She has assisted hundreds of home buyers and sellers with the purchase or sale of their home. She continues to own and operate a boutique real estate agency in Atlanta, Georgia. Her extensive knowledge and experience in the real estate industry allowed her to organically practice real estate law. Being an experienced real estate broker, Monique is able to view real estate transactions and issues through a broader lens, through the perspective of various parties. Thus, providing optimal value to her clients.

Monique is a first generation American, as her family is from the beautiful island of Jamaica. Seeing many of her family members go through and speak of the immigration process has always intrigued her. She was able to confirm her love for immigration in law school by studying immigration law and participating in the Immigration Clinic, obtaining hands on experience and helping clients with various immigration issues such as Asylum and Citizenship.

Monique is very passionate about helping others achieve justice and obtain the results they seek. Witnessing family members and assisting clients through the immigration process, she can relate to the struggles that many immigrants face.
